Manley Creative takes you behind-the-scenes with Ballet Arizona to show you the process of how building a brand new production actually works. Adam Benavides, one of Manley Creative’s talented storytellers and directors, and Jim Manley, CEO share how this high-end mini documentary for Ballet Arizona was created.
The story intimately portrays how Ballet Arizona’s renowned Artistic Director, Ib Andersen, thinks and moves throughout the studio as he choreographs, The Firebird, Ballet Arizona’s premiere production.
Ballet Arizona has been a Manley client for nearly a decade. When it became apparent that The Firebird presented a unique opportunity, the team decided to tell their story documentary style. By really getting to know the culture of Ballet Arizona, and learning the details about their production process, we were able to help them maximize their potential through authentic storytelling.
The end result was the creation of a mesmerizing performance. Manley Creative followed Ib Andersen and his dancers for several weeks, throughout the rehearsal process to learn how the dancers live day-to-day, and what they are passionate about.
From there, the high-end mini documentary was created. With the director, dancers and designers, it brings to life all of the fine details it takes to create a brand-new ballet from scratch. In addition to the documentary, Manley produced 10 videos that include behind-the-scenes videos, promos, trailers, and teasers.
Ballet Arizona continues to use these assets across their social media platforms. The content we create helps Ballet Arizona educate, entertain, put butts in seats and inspire people, who feel so inclined, to support this world-class non-profit organization.
